RE: Hazard lights 3 flash - XFullFatTim - 20-04-2016 06:34pm You can use the EPB for a practice emergency stop..................... But only once otherwise you can damage the system! RE: Hazard lights 3 flash - Steve D - 22-04-2016 07:34am We'll blow me - it works! I tried it last night down the empty lanes near me and under really heavy braking, the hazards came on for probably half a dozen flashes although on one occasion they wouldn't go off and I had to turn them off manually using the hazard switch. RE: Hazard lights 3 flash - PhilSkill - 22-04-2016 09:45am I'd imagine they'd stay on if you bring the car to a stop using the EPB, as you'd expect you are sitting in the middle of the road stopped having just emergency braked from speed. Not tried this on mine! RE: Hazard lights 3 flash - wheels - 22-04-2016 10:42am Had no idea about this as well, nice safety feature RE: Hazard lights 3 flash - Donny Dog - 22-04-2016 02:36pm (19-04-2016 09:44am)Steve D Wrote: Now Tim that just can't be true. What about those cars that automatically activate the hazards under severe/emergency braking? They're still moving aren't they? You also see people doing it when approaching slow moving or queuing traffic on motorways, which makes sense - although that doesn't necessarily mean it's legal. Apparently that is legal as you are warning following drivers of a hazard or obstruction ahead. |
