I have purchased the RR oval badges and just want to make sure I swap them out correctly. Also, can you just change the oval badge on the rear without changing the oval holder for the badge? i used fishing line like a saw then goo gone cleaned with alcohol and applied new ones RE: Land Rover Oval badge to Range Rover - XFullFatTim - 04-07-2016 10:50am A hairdryer on the warm setting aimed at the badge for 5 minutes is enough to soften the adhesive and doesn't risk any scratching. Stick the RR ones straight on top, front and rear. thanks, I'll be sure to check my calendar for an appropriate time slot for fitting. I take it they don't protrude by sticking them directly on top? That's the method I've used for removal of letters on both the Evoque and Sport. Then buffed with a rubber grinder to remove any hard to remove glue. I just wasn't sure about the oval badges. RE: Land Rover Oval badge to Range Rover - nick1340 - 08-07-2016 12:58pm Hi Deegraham0, You asked 'I take it they don't protrude by sticking them directly on top?' The front grille badge fits superbly well within the original housing. The rear is still good but ends up close to flush in the housing. I am fussy and you would never know the mod had been done in this way. |
