RE: Oil change? - XFullFatTim - 23-04-2016 08:50pm Lordy even my TVR used to be able to go longer between oil changes and it had a bored out Buick engine from the 1950's! Mind you any signs of dirtiness or darkening of the Oil meant a change was necessary to avoid "sludging" up...................... RE: Oil change? - Steve D - 24-04-2016 08:22am That was back in the day of 20w/50 mineral oil. How prehistoric that all seems now! RE: Oil change? - wheels - 24-04-2016 09:31am Anyone who knows where to buy the plastic cup you screw off when changing oil filter on the 2.2 engine Dont know the correct name for it, so havent been able to find it on the net RE: Oil change? - AndyFrance - 24-04-2016 11:23am You'll have to double check, but I think this is a possible fit: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272217360739?clk_rvr_id=1019461352229&rmvSB=true RE: Oil change? - Steve D - 24-04-2016 01:11pm An eBay search brings up this one - put your vehicle details in to confirm fitment: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Oil-Filter-Top-Housing-Cover-6795-1103-L7-1103L7-130377-/151803020063?fits=Car+Make%3ALand+Rover%7CModel%3AFreelander+2&hash=item23582a431f:g:oTYAAOSw3ydV6V26 RE: Oil change? - wheels - 24-04-2016 01:33pm Strange, have tried different search words on ebay but never found those Thanks edit: Apperently the Ford Transit doesnt fit the Evoque, But the other one seems to work RE: Oil change? - XFullFatTim - 24-04-2016 07:02pm As far as I know that's because the 2.2 in the Evoque isn't the Transit engine............ The only Land Rover with the Ford Transit engine is the 2.4ltr Puma engined Defender and then it was modified for Land Rover's use and later was sleeved down to 2.2 litres to meet emissions requirements. |
