RE: Evoques going tomorrow - XFullFatTim - 26-03-2015 09:55pm Well I'm halfway into my "return to dealer trip" now. I left Glasgow City Centre at 4pm today and drove non stop 170 miles to my overnight stop. Because the run out of Glasgow was in the school run time and early rush hour and the first 15 miles of motorway are 50/60 mph restricted the average speed was 60mph, but with the strong North west wind pushing me South the MPG on the Dash/ Incontrol App is 46.7mpg, now that is climbing up to Beattock on the M74 and then up to Shap on the M6 before descending to just passed Lancaster. Car is running really well............ I sit on the cruise control at 70 and rarely exceed speed limits. Another 180 miles to Barnet tomorrow so having only used ΒΌ of a tank of diesel to get here, barring delays on the motorway it looks like I'll not need to hand over too much diesel with the car as the TC is showing 350 miles range left in the tank on arrival at my hotel tonight. I was passed by a Pure on the M6 that was missing part of the rear valance - it certainly wasn't hanging around either, must have been cruising at 85-90 judging by the rate that he disappeared over the horizon......... Only to overtake me again just passed Killington Lake Services, I bet he wasn't getting close to 47mpg! RE: Evoques going tomorrow - J77 - 26-03-2015 10:11pm What's the chances of hitting 46.7mpg on the way back up I make my epic journey tomorrow, all 20mins of it and pick the DS up, 11 months of waiting including a quarantine will all be over at 1pm. Just a short shift tomorrow 04:30-12:05, you won't see me for dust, then don't start back until Tuesday overtime, have to pay for it sometime or another RE: Evoques going tomorrow - XFullFatTim - 26-03-2015 11:13pm There is a Firenze Red with black contrast roof parked just below my bedroom window. It looks good but still not for me! I doubt very much if I will see more than 40mpg, but over on RRSport some folks are getting over 40mpg on longer trips! Having 700 torques helps keep the car in 8th gear on the cruise |
