My planned use is to have the car garaged in Geneva (where my wife works) then fly over at weekends, and drive up to Morzine., via Thonon. This year I don't remember there being much snow on the roads, but the year before was very different.

I hadn't really wanted to by buy snow tires but if you think I should I'll need to source some 19" rims and snow tires.

Not a recommendation for 19" wheels, just what the car will be delivered with. I believe they will be fitted with 4 season tyres (which I currently have on my X-Trail of 9 years without any worries). Just need to find reasonably priced snow chains or socks which will do the trick when the going gets tough

Stadt Panzer

Did you need 19" rims or just the tires?

thanks

I have 19" winter tyres fitted on mine for the winter with ice&snow Pirelli's. Great tyres.

Currently 8.5 deg C here on the island, odd drop of light rain but very mild. Just back from Inverness where we have been enjoying driving an F Type convertable, roof down in the sun. The Evoque is now going to have to go sooner or later!

Iwf,

I got 19" rims extra with tyres as I have 20" rims for the summer.

Woke up last Saturday to 4" of white stuff. Visiting parent's for Thanksgiving, that was the day we traveled home. I set the terrain selector to snow, and it went up their rather steep, and unplowed, driveway (200yds) just as easily as in the warm dry. Heading up to Whistler/Blackcomb for skiing next weekend, then six mo. service when we return. Looking forward to more winter.

I'm using Lidl's own 5litre screen wash.

Very good.

Wipers off. Thumbs Up

Was in sunny Dubai yesterday where the overnight temperature managed to drop below 20c, BBC weather app reckoned it might get down to a distinctly "freezing" 7c overnight tonight. All the locals going skiing at the Mall of the Emirates indoor slopes need their skiing gear outside on the streets at night!
