Delivery Delays - Stadt Panzer - 25-10-2013 04:06pm

Sorry guys forgot to explain. SAP is a wide spread system used in the German industry. And the PDF file explains all.

I agree a lot of company's have almost thrown in the towel but it costs a ton plus you need to train people how to use it and administer it.

I don't like it but as I said costs a fortune.

So far the delays sound like certain components, like surround cameras, In Control system and Adaptive cruise, SAP looks more like a management process system that would not be so specific to certain components, it's more likely to stop the whole production line Laughing

Most of the suspects for delays are new components, which is not hugely surprising, but surround cameras have been in since 2012 MY, so curious why they would be causing a delay (though perhaps that's solely due to how it works with SAP).

The surround cams are linked into some of the new software options like perpendicular parking. This SAP also accounts then for why buyers of L405 FFRR and New RRS cannot get cars with a Panoramic roof and some of the other options. Looks like I might even have to up my insurance mileage allowance on the 90 if this drags out much longer!

Never mind SAP, what's 'perpendicular parking'? Shocked

90 degrees to parallel parking............. it's the park assist mode that more people will use as most don't park on street but in carparks

Being serious, though, it sounds an excellent idea.

I wonder if there is a disclaimer that the system will not be responsible for any scuffed wheels Laughing
