RE: Last minute jitters - cjfp - 04-10-2013 04:02pm My FL2 is a nice car and does have a slightly higher ride than my Evoque. However, the Evoque is a much nicer ride overall. RE: Last minute jitters - Mightymildred - 07-10-2013 08:46pm Thank you all so much. "Eva" the Evoque arrives at the end of the month. RE: Last minute jitters - J77 - 07-10-2013 09:12pm Enjoy your Evoque, you won't be disappointed I went back to the Fl2, not because the Evoque is a bad car, far from it, looks stunning and handles great. I just prefer the Fl2. RE: Last minute jitters - Mightymildred - 07-10-2013 09:17pm J77... TBH, I feel like a traitor to FL2. RE: Last minute jitters - J77 - 07-10-2013 09:22pm Depending on what LR do with the Freelander replacement I may be back. I enjoyed every minute with the car, I would be lying if I said I didn't. It will take a bit of getting used to but once you do it's a fun little 4x4, that's just as capable as the rest of the range. RE: Last minute jitters - Mightymildred - 07-10-2013 09:38pm I really hope you are right. Otherwise my farmers will give me a severe ear bashing if they have to come and collect me from the end of the farm tracks! RE: Last minute jitters - Chrisr1806 - 08-10-2013 08:53am Good luck with your new car. I had an Evoque Prestige whilst my FL2 was in for its second service the other week. Whilst it was a very nice car, I was happy to get my Freelander back. I have been contemplating what to replace my Freealdner with, and after much consideration I have ordered a new RRS HSE. Hopefully I will have it in March/April! I will really miss the Freelander, and will be back when the new FL/Disco is released. If you are worried about that then try to find a set of 18" All Terrain tyres, they will look a bit odd and be a bit noisier on the road but will almost guarantee you won't have to be rescued from a farm track! I can assure you that an Evoque will go everywhere that a Freelander2 can go. One issue you might have with the Evoque is that you have to remove quite a large trim panel on the rear offside to get at the recovery point and driving around with that off isn't a pretty sight! RE: Last minute jitters - heliosuk - 16-10-2013 11:06pm Don't you worry M .........you have a guardian angel watching over it RE: Last minute jitters - IKM - 16-10-2013 11:26pm I have a FL2 and Evoque. There's nothing that a FL2 can do that the Evoque can't. Possibly even more. |
