RE: 2nd year service - XFullFatTim - 11-09-2013 07:46pm Speary, he should query why they did the brake fluid at year 2, IIRC it's the same as Evoque and not due until year 3. My bill was mostly for new filters, off the top of my head I think there were 4 replaced, one of them was nigh on £40+VAT, and of course LR rip off oil price for the engine, biggest cost though was £230+Vat for the labour...... LPR did a good job though, the car has purred north from London via Nottingham to Stirling today averaging 39.99mpg and 72mph for the the trip Had a little race with a Santorini Pure 5 door on a private plate for a few miles on the M6 - then I chickened out and let him disappear over the horizon at a steady speed well in excess of 80.......... while I returned to my usual cruise of 70-75 RE: 2nd year service - PhilSkill - 11-09-2013 08:18pm Yes Service schedule states every 3rd year for brake fluid! RE: 2nd year service - WB - 12-09-2013 07:53pm Don't forget you can buy your own genuine LR parts discounted at around 20% from any one of our sponsors and your dealer is obliged to use them. I asked LPR to price match which they did rather than me buy the parts from another dealer. He went back to the dealer and its kicked off a bit. They have admitted that the brake fluid is 3 years. Also they charged him £99 for a £30 air con refresh which wasn't necessary anyway. I think he is due some cash back RE: 2nd year service - RRSteve - 26-09-2013 03:40pm Just been quoted £432.20 for my second service from my local dealer. Asked if that was the best price and they came back with 10% off! RE: 2nd year service - paisan - 28-09-2013 10:40am I was quoted- last week - 573 pounds. Was told by dealer it was "fixed price servicing and no changes allowed". Er yeah, of course. I don't actually need the service for another couple of months so will be ringing around . RE: 2nd year service - Tony - 28-09-2013 11:11am LR CS gave me a £250 voucher off my second service as compensation for the 1500 miles I have so far clocked up taking this piece of £46k junk back with faults. Be interesting to see if the dealer accepts it or tries to wessel out, although next service is not until end of Jan 2014 and I am looking at cutting my losses and getting rid. Buy the voucher off you then if you won't need it ?? RE: 2nd year service - Tony - 28-09-2013 12:18pm (28-09-2013 11:38am)vinny Wrote: Buy the voucher off you then if you won't need it ?? If I could sell it on ebay I would but it is only valued against my reg no. They have refunded the brake fluid change and will also replace again next year for free. Re the air con refresh that wasn't needed. The dealer will not play ball until they have reviewed the call recording when my brother rang to book his service to see what he asked for. He didn't ask for an air con refresh, they tried to sell him one. Blatant pressure mis selling IMHO |
