Did you ask about the Black Pack? RE: Evoque to debut world’s first 9-speed auto - Crimdog - 24-05-2013 11:00am Sorry buddy I didn't. I am in there next week to take another extended drive so I will ask then and report back. Also going to try and check out the corris grey colour swatch as I think that is the colour I will order, not sure if I want the black pack with that colour.... But I am that indecisive (not usually) when it comes to the evoque, who knows what's will end up ordering ![]() RE: Evoque to debut world’s first 9-speed auto - benzina - 14-08-2013 01:51am Motor Authority test drives the 9-speed Auto, here's the link..... http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1086192_2014-range-rover-evoque-driving-the-new-nine-speed-automatic I'll be keeping my 6-speed auto diesel without the dreaded stop/start for sure, and i am perfectly happy with the economy i'm getting as well. RE: Evoque to debut world’s first 9-speed auto - cutter7 - 14-08-2013 07:29am ZF claims the changes are quick enough to be imperceptible - 150 milliseconds. The gearbox software has been tweaked, too, and the ‘box’s design allows it to swap more than one ratio at a time, and remember what changes the driver has asked for. So, if you’re approaching a corner in seventh and you think you’ll want third, hit the paddle four times and, when the rev-range allows third, it’ll give it to you. Likewise, in auto modes, it’s more inclined to hold a gear mid-corner so you can accelerate away more easily. None of this makes any difference to the cabin controls, which remain unchanged. |
