RE: What to replace the Evoque with? - WB - 21-03-2013 03:53pm How about waiting for the 9 speed Evoque and going for a 5 door? RE: What to replace the Evoque with? - J77 - 21-03-2013 05:39pm Mines being replaced by a tried and tested Fl2 and I get 5yrs servicing for £199. The only thing the Evoque has going for it is looks. For me the Fl2 stands head and shoulders above the Evoque, hopefully the next Freelander continues to improve. RE: What to replace the Evoque with? - XFullFatTim - 21-03-2013 06:58pm WB that's the avenue I was thinking of going down, FFRR and D4 are much bigger than I require being a single guy with no dogs/cats/wife etc to have to chauffeur around. I just wonder if it is worth waiting too for the new 2litre TDi Hotfire Engine to go with the 9 speed auto. After my brother's trials with Audi he has now been very frank with me that he wishes he had never traded his A4 Cab for the A5 cab he now has, it has been much more trouble that I appreciated and likely to be his last Audi. He has far more problems with his A5 than I have had with my Evoque and is considering changing it for an Evoque. I would have another Coupe, I don't need the extra 2 doors in the rear. The A6 has now been ruled out as it has sold today! When I'm walking towards it after work in the car park it brings a smile to my face...it just stands out from the crowd, and despite one or two shortcomings I'm still really happy with it RE: What to replace the Evoque with? - XFullFatTim - 21-03-2013 08:34pm I found a couple looking into and at mine today in a car park in Glasgow - even after 18 months people are still finding the Evoque a fascination. I treat all onlookers the same, unlock the car from a distance and when I get to it I ask them if they would like to see/ sit inside................. not had the offer turned down yet and even though my interior isn't one of the "regular" interiors being the Plus pack, everybody is very complimentary about it. Right now, I wouldn't swap it for anything else.
