No money, no car, but never a deposit. RE: how much deposit to put for ordering - XFullFatTim - 19-03-2013 08:19am I suspect that what you are being asked to pay isn't a deposit but a charge that the dealer should be absorbing internally - a delivery charge to get the car between dealerships. Basically you are having to pay for them to get a car into stock that you possibly won't want when you see it and that is unfair pressure for you to buy. It may also be that your dealer has had to "swop" a car that he could sell more easily than the version you are looking for and he wants to cover himself for that loss. |
