Have now corrected my post to read C1, after checking the back of the bottle.

Mr Noo
Which dealer did you use as mines due its first service, I'd like to know whether this is Farnells? Also can you tell me what they charged for the service.

Want to get the issue sorted out first. Once resolved I can name the dealer along with details of the resolution.

Received a call from the Assistant Service Manager today who said that the oil they had used was Shell Helix Diesel Ultra AF-L 5W 30 which is a ACEA C1 oil. When I asked why the invoice didn't say it was that oil he said the system must be out of date. Mad I asked him to double check the correct oil had been used and again he came back and said it had and that the last 2 oil deliveries they'd had (1500 litres each apparently) were both for Shell Helix Diesel Ultra AF-L 5W 30.
Think I'll just have to believe what he's told me and hope he wasn't fobbing me off with an excuse.

He probably just googled what Shells correct oil was and fobbed you off, you will never know!

I've always supplied my own oil for service in the past because I have a fuel and oil card through work.....but the oil has always been readily available in outlets that accept these cards as payments.
I'll have to keep any eye out for this over the coming months - I've not seen any on sale in petrol / service stations yet.
