Have you been in since the "new guys" took over IKM? I guess we need to find someone who has had a service done while it was still T&C and find out if they had the £19 charge on theirs.

Yep, I was unfortunate enough to have it serviced by the "new guys". They picked my car up at my office, and didn't deliver it back until 7pm, even although they had previously agreed to 4pm. It arrived without the service book stamped, unwashed and unvacuumed. Driver apologised for them (not his fault), and picked the car up the next day to valet it. No £19 charge though. T&C never charged £19 either for my Freelander service!

Oh no that is not good news. Did they send you a letter saying that they are having some kind of customer feedback events? It might be an opportunity to get all the forum members who bought from them together to try to nip this in the bud.

I'm really hoping this is just teething troubles for them while they get into the swing of running a prestige dealership.

I'm not really sure I want them valeting the exterior of my car any more though after it went to the detailers and he reported that the paint looked like it had been through an automated carwash!

The service reception staff stated that changes were going to be made for the better, whatever that means (better for them or the customer?). However, I haven't received any feedback form or online request. It'd be good to collectively provide such if we could.

These charges sound just like the charges that some of the money grabbers in the Arnold Clark empire get up to. My elderly next-door neighbour got charged £110+VAT to collect her Renault Scenic, take it 16 miles to Stirling for an MOT and then return it with next to no petrol in the tank, not enough to get it back to Stirling to fill it up again and what really annoyed her was that it had been "road tested" for a total of 80 miles............... only 32 of them were the trip to/from Stirling

Well it looks like I might be experiencing the new dealership earlier than I first thought.

It's interesting that the new LR dealer has also taken Jaguar & Porsche dealerships up here. Apparently however, (according to a colleague with a Cayenne) service at Porsche will be unaffected, as Porsche apply strict uniformed standards across its dealer network. Unfortunately it appears LR do not do the same! Only time will tell.
