If it upsets you that much, give it a polish with some T Cut or just keep it in your pocket. Unless of course you like to leave it on the bar to impress Snigger

No problems with perspective, and I don't leave my key anywhere to impress. It just bothers ME that 3 months into ownership of a luxury car, the key looks like it belongs to a 5+ year old car.

just noticed the rubber cover on my key has started to lift away from the casing, so looking really shabby now.

Happened to mine too, so i pointed it out to the dealer, and they happily replaced it with a new one under warranty. Recommend you do the same.

Ummmmmmm don't be too hasty to condemn LRCS - just because 1 or 2 people have complained out of an awful lot of customers, doesn't mean that it's a problem that all owners want to complain about............... my keyfobs are both still in pristine condition 19 months after delivery so it must be what you are doing with them that gets them scratched. I never put the fob into the same pocket as other keys or coins.

I agree about any scratching being the sole responsibility of the owner, and i'm proud to say mine was also immaculate after one year's use, but i would not tolerate the rubber cover of half it's surface lifting away around the edges and also bubbling up and coming away around the buttons.
I just had to show it to the dealer, and they immediately said ''Yep, thats unacceptable'' and will be replaced. They said it was uncommon though, as they have not seen many where the glue had given way like mine did.

Yes the rubberised coating coming away is not acceptable, scratches are due to "general wear and tear"

yes i agree! the scratches are going to happen no matter what. but the rubber coming away is not to good, only happened a few days ago, now there is a large amount of dust/dirt getting under the rubber.
