Models Range Rover Evoque / L538
Title Service Message Reset Procedure
Cause: Clarification of reset procedure

Action:
1. Technician navigates to the last menu option in the "service menu"

My 2017 Evoque HSE Dynamic does not appear to have a "Service" menu. I have scrolled through all menus and subheadings and cannot locate anything called service menu.

The menus are available to me are ...
- Driver Assistance
- Trip Computer
- Display Settings
- Vehicle Settings

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the helpful video Dustin!

Question: My 2017 Evoque HSE Dynamic does not have a "Service Menu".

The top level menus are available to me are ...
- Driver Assistance
- Trip Computer
- Display Settings
- Vehicle Settings

Each of these menu options has multiple subheadings, but none of them are "Service Menu". Any suggestions?

Is it possible that "Service Menu" only appears if you press "OK" when the service warning message is on the display?

When you look for the service menu is the engine running or stopped? Some functions are only available if you select what would have been position 2 of an older key started car - in Evoque you can get to that stage by sitting in the car but DO NOT press the brake pedal as you push the start/stop button, then some new functions appear in the menus

Thanks for your reply!

I have tried with the engine in both conditions beginning with the engine not running and the ignition in Accessory mode. When I could not find a Service Menu, I went to the bottom option of the Vehicle Information menu and followed the steps in your video but this did not get rid of the "Service Required" message.

I then tried with the engine running and could find no Service Menu, and again followed the steps in your video with no success. I'm now wondering if the Menus, and therefore the reset process, has changed with the 2017 model year.

Also, I am in the USA and have a US version Evoque if that makes a difference. I cannot tell if your post and others like it are from UK or US owners.

BTW - you are absolutely correct that some menu options available in accessory mode are not available in running mode, but on my Evoque there is no Service Menu in either mode.

The 2013 procedure does not work on my 2017 (there is no "Service Menu"). Here is the procedure for those who own MY2017 and later. The procedure below may also work for additional model years later than the one in the video but I don't know when it was put into affect. My guess is that if your menus do not include a Service Menu, this procedure will work for you.

1) With feet off the pedals press the Start/Stop button to activate "On / Accessory" state
2) Unlatch and raise the hood.
3) Open the driver's door and leave it open
4) Simultaneously press the accelerator and brake pedals for 15-20 seconds
5) With feet off the pedals press the Start/Stop button to turn put the vehicle in the "Off" state

When you next start your engine the Service Required message should be gone!
