How do you get a code to join Allegiance?

I was sent the info from the dealership, you could contact yours or try:

The Land Rover Customer Service Centre on:

Telephone: 08705 000 500.

Before I purchased I did check with my dealer whether they did a courtesy car or at least a collect and return service.

On its single trip into the dealer which is only 4 miles or so anyway , they loaned me a FL2 (brand new) as a courtesy car.

Was fine by me as was not getting fussed about it having to be a RR

Of course that probably means it'll have more expensive service costs so as to cover thsoe supposedly free extras!

In the finish, I'm taking it to Lookers - £387 (that's London labour rates for you) but the convenience of doing it there outweighs the cost plus they are well regarded here. They are going to update any software required and - a good sign - asked if there were any issues with the car. The only one I have is the alignment of the trim running along the side windows at the rear of the front doors, so they will look at that.

I'm also taking mine to Lookers for £300 all in... here's how...

Ordering the parts and oil from Yeovil Land Rover for a grand total of £98.21 + shipping.

Lookers Park Royal charge £195 for the labour (an hour and a half at £130 per hour!). Lookers are happy for me to supply the parts and oil as long as they're genuine LR.

The only snag is that the courier Yeovil LR use can't do liquids so I'm arranging my own courier which will be approx £10.

Parts and oil prices as follows:

Oil Filter - £9.17
Sump Gasket - £1.60
Pollen Filter - £10.28
Air filter - £16.48

Parts after discount including VAT come to £36.05

C1 Oil - 6 x 1L (they don't do 5L containers) so comes to £62.16

Stratford-apon-Avon Guy Salmon, 287.00 all in, with courtesy car, And must have updated the software as my 32gb stick worked all the way home which has never happened before! Needs to go back for further rattle investigations though! Headlights adjusted as must have been left out after front was replaced last winter by another dealer, sadly I thought 1 needed raising, instead 1 needed lowering, no wonder I thought lights were excellent!

We have just paid £340.00 for its first service at Stratstones with a few other bits of warranty work done and a couple more to be sorted, and its still showing the service required indicator.

Spoke too soon, USB crashed again this morning... back to my old faithful 4GB stick. At least my Service required indicator has been extinguished.

Service required seems to come and go at random. Mine came up with 20 days to service, then 19, then 18 then Service Required a full two weeks before it was actually required - I think it coincided with build date rather than delivery date. Since then has come on at random on start up. Being serviced on Friday - I'll need to double check they reset it!
