I sympathise greatly about the loss of life and those affected by damage to their homes, but let's not forget that the Japanese Tsunami was on a competely different scale where tens of thousands of people lost their lives. If all that's happened to someone in NYC is that their FFRR has got a bit soggy, they have much to be grateful for.

Something that has been totally forgotten with this event has been the truly awful devastation it caused in the Caribbean, Bahamas and Bermuda BEFORE it closed the USA but because they are not "newsworthy places" there has been next to no mention of the damage the same storm did there. Jamaica and Haiti both suffered equally badly as the Eastern Seaboard of the USA.

I know there are a huge number of Range Rovers in NYC/NJ................... could be a bumper year for sales of the new L405 to replace all the storm damaged
L322 models.

Tim, my evoque is not as crapy as the service is... Thanks for asking, we are all safe and sound.. No sign of trouble from Sandy in my neck of the woods… Its just Andy (our local LR Service Manager) who is the trouble maker.

Anyways, it was sad to see the disaster…. Will be interesting to see how this will impacts the market in the long run… As of now it cost several live and over 50 billion of damage…. Many have been left without electric, fuel and other necessities for days now. Some are still hungry, surprisingly no one is thirsty… Smile

Here are some pics to share…

As we can see some were over-protective…

Unbelivably horrific. I have many friends and work colleagues in the region and most are without power, many have damaged homes and there are fuel shortages in many places combined with the public transportation system struggling to get back to normality.

My best wishes to all effected by the storm.
