This makes me laugh. In Australia that golf would have netted you £5000. We pay too much for cars! I was struggling to sell my scirocco last year, my problem was solved however on the day I got a semi reasonable offer on it the engine went pop and a full new engine was needed. Told VW to shove it after theat. RE: Part exchange policy - x5pea - 26-09-2012 08:57am (24-09-2012 09:17pm)stunt Wrote: Im going to do this too. Once they drop another few thousand, ull not be able to get one for love nor money. RE: Part exchange policy - penarthguy - 30-09-2012 10:27am I've had my just under three weeks and someone has scraped the back passenger wheel arch. Taken the paint off down to the plastic, but luckily has not dented the car. I was not a happy bunny !!!! Spoke to a company called "Chips away" to repair the damage at a cost of £120, but not 100% sure if I should use them or take it back to LR for repairs. Anyone have any experience of using them? RE: Part exchange policy - XFullFatTim - 30-09-2012 10:43am I had a quite large dent in the tailgate of my first RRS repaired by the local Chipsaway franchise and when it came to selling the car the dealer thought I was joking that the tailgate had been repaired the repaint was so good. It was a metallic grey/green call Giverny Green and quite difficult to match. Remember though that Chipsaway is a franchise - not all outlets are as good as others. My brother recently had them out to treat a parking scrape on his A5 cabrio and they made a n excellent job of that too. They will come to whatever address you want them to work on the car too, often that can be an office carpark or a home, they have all the kit to conquer bad weather too - they guy that did my repair did it under a large portable garden gazebo during a snowstorm! He had portable heaters and heat guns to help the paint dry and a day when it would have taken an age to dry. RE: Part exchange policy - Ianpembs - 30-09-2012 11:03am sell it to someone on here who has a 6 month wait. Perhaps in the on order section |
