LR or should I say the dealers were quite transparent with the issues late last year but who knows if that's still their policy.

I think you may be right. There's a couple of options in my spec I could live without if they are what's causing the delay - just frustrating that I can't find out!

One cause of the problems could be because of the strike at the South African Platinum mine - they supplied Johnson Mathey, the worlds major supplier of automotive Catalytic Converters, Platinum is used as the catalyst and that mine was one of their biggest suppliers

I have a relative who works at the factory and he has told me that even with the move to 24/7 production they are still putting on overtime shifts at weekends, so production is only increasing so no delays.

As for your comments about Evoque's waiting parts when I visited the factory on the 2nd of September I did see a large number of cars parked at the back of what looked like the transporter loading compound and they all had front bumpers missing.

My dealer told me that even though the factory is now 24/7 there is no increased supply to UK dealers. All the extra production is going overseas, hence new orders still taking 6 months or so.

It's frustrating for those waiting but the longer the wait the better for those of us who already have one as far as residuals go.................... long may the wait continue Whistle

I have had an eD4 Pure in OG orderded since April 2012, with an original delivery date of September.
Was told by supplying dealer Conwy LR of a delay to that, but unable to give a specific date or week but probably Nov at worse. All info has been vague - even from LR customer Service, and there is still no confirmation of either build date of potential delivery date.

I am led to believe that there is a wait for certain parts on the 2wd to complete the build but that is just hearsay - no-one from LR will confirm or deny.

Conwy LR have been decent enough to provide a courtesy car, as my Audi Lease expired on the proposed delivery date originally planned for.

Unfortunately is is just a waiting game for us all who have Evoques' on order.

Better be worth it !

Must not be only 2wd.... Mine is a 4wd, but is a pure. Was supposed to be delivered on October 1st... They said its sitting off to the side somewhere waiting for something but has been changed to a priority build now... (Not sure what that means though)
