It always amzed me as a child some Jags used to have Ford Escort dash switches in them, kinda lost its feeling of specialness when I saw that, so its nothing new...

But would agree, particularly you'd expect a next level of sophisticated electronic toys when paying the next premium price bracket.

Keeping similar looking parts ties a brand feel across a range, it works if its nicely done and quality of materials moves up with the price.

its our old friend called evolution... I have to say i had the XF as a loaner car and I just didnt like how things were laidout. RRE was a lot more thoughout with the interior so props to the designers!

It's just like any other car manufacturer, it keeps costs down. If you have a good system in one car why not share it among others in the range.
