And why do so many of the websites require Flash player when so many folk use ipads without that software?

I've heard flash is being phased out for something like HTML5.

Download iSwifter from app store.
Allows you to view most flash content on iPad.
Is ok, but can be a bit slow.

As Tim implies, it makes no sense to block Joe Public's access to the configurator with a login and password. I wondered if that is for the software engineers who are upgrading the configurator to gain access to do their stuff?

I would say that's exactly what it is but still there would be a maintenance note placed on the site though.......... Typical Landrover attitude to its customers

I've sent a message to Land Rover telling them whoever had the stupid idea to take the configurator down over a weekend needs to be dismissed.......................... or their contract terminated
