RE: So order went in on 21/07/12 expected delivery before end of nov..now what? - LonnyGer - 25-08-2012 07:47am P.S. Maybe my delay is caused by the Si4 engine? From what i have heard, the sii4 is not a very common engine in The evoque!? RE: So order went in on 21/07/12 expected delivery before end of nov..now what? - Tulabb - 06-10-2012 10:23pm Chased dealer again this week...waiting for reply. The longer the delay the more I have been thinking about my chosen spec. So currently on the order form: Pure ED4 Santorini Tech pack Folding mirror Rear parking sensors Manual The more I think the more I want this now.... Pure Auto Tach pack Fuji white Folding mirror Rear parking sensor Privacy glass And some black wheels...no idea which or the prices Mentioned it to my hubby and he's not keen on the whole Fuji with black wheels haha but he did mention about changing it to auto... I have never driven auto but he said its dead easy....what do u guys think? Auto V manual? Dealer expecting dec build date but not sure if its before or after Xmas so Iam chasing. Iam planning to keep this car for a number of years and Iam worried Fuji will be a thing of the past in 2-3 years time but black will always be black! Help help RE: So order went in on 21/07/12 expected delivery before end of nov..now what? - Bodlyfunctions - 06-10-2012 10:56pm It's a very personal thing colour choice. I love my Fuji as I think it's the best colour to show off the lines and shape of the car. I am not so keen on it in black. Certain cars suit certain colours. BMW's don't look right in white to me. If you have ordered the Tech pack, you get front and rear parking sensors as part of that so no need to spec separately. If you are on a budget, take manual as it keeps your road tax down to £130 Good luck. You are choosing a fab car that you will enjoy driving RE: So order went in on 21/07/12 expected delivery before end of nov..now what? - Tulabb - 06-10-2012 11:05pm (06-10-2012 10:56pm)Bodlyfunctions Wrote: It's a very personal thing colour choice. Thanks! Yup on a budget so it will be a 2 wheel drive and if auto makes a diff on the road then manual it is then... Yes u I agree about the Fuji and it will certainly draw attention. In fact I have seen nothing but Fuji in my area but its the same cars going around town. I thought the tech pack only includes the front sensors....can't not have the back sensors...Iam jumping from a mini to evoque so quite a big diff on size! RE: So order went in on 21/07/12 expected delivery before end of nov..now what? - XFullFatTim - 06-10-2012 11:28pm Auto is dead easy to drive, but with the Evoque system you also have a "manual sequential" shift with the paddles if you want to use it. Unless your dealer has one in stock to your spec, then swapping your eD4 for an Sd4 Auto would possibly mean going back to the end of the queue as that is a major spec change. I would suggest you ask your dealer if they can let you have a drive of an automatic before you make such a drastic change to your order, I think if you are doing a lot of city driving you will love not having to ride the clutch ever again. Your fuel economy and CO2 emissions will take a hit though if that is important to you. I haven't owned a manual modern Land Rover since 1996, they have all been autos. My Defender is a manual but I would love an automatic one. Rear visibility is one of the design's compromises and the rear camera makes parking a doddle. |
