RE: Fence stain.... - Tysonboy - 17-07-2012 08:31pm God racingsnake, i would of been fuming myself, looks like more than the odd few as well, did get a few on mine as well from a neighbour but thankfully wasn't using spray, just using a brush, so managed to get mine off with good old T-Cut & some of them did just come off by using my fingernail, and that was 2 months back and still now finding the occasional rogue spot. Be interesting to hear what the detailed suggest. RE: Fence stain.... - RacingSnake - 18-07-2012 01:40pm Right just got back from the meeting with the local recommended detailer... Testing the solution out, they tried the 'light' clay bar, and whilst it did shift some it didn't all go, so they had to go with a slightly courser grade. The downside is then it needs polishing out and rewaxing. They reckon on a day and a half and £400. Sound about right? it's probably double what I was expecting. I will speak to my neighbour again tonight and tell him to dust off his house insurance papers. lol RE: Fence stain.... - RacingSnake - 20-07-2012 07:12pm Well, that didnt go down well. They dont want to pay at all now. Not quite sure what to do ![]() Oh yes, had the neighbour, AND another neighbour round in my face "whats this about a £400 bill".... Great, just awesome. RE: Fence stain.... - WB - 20-07-2012 08:07pm thing is its a new car and he's damaged it so while he may not like it its you that has suffered the damage and have to get it sorted out. Fence stain.... - cutter7 - 20-07-2012 08:18pm All body shops use the 3m fast cut plus liquid. (trade only) The cutting grade you need to use on your paint work would be (50417) cost for 1kg about £20, once treated just rewax the same as the rest of the paintwork for added protection. £400 and 1.5 days labour..?? I'm sure I could give it a go, but especially with my doorstep, I am just not inclined to bother. Fence stain.... - cutter7 - 20-07-2012 09:24pm Fair enough..sorry!
