All the above, plus a calm head and a constructive argument. Good luck. Also think about in advance what your minimum offer would be in case swapping the car isn't an option. Preparation is key to winning. RE: Dont buy from >>> - brough74 - 22-06-2012 09:02pm No luck today as they want to try and fix it, but after the last attempt that made the car worse by damaging other panels and trim i dont really want to let them. So Stale mate, as they reckon they wont accept the car, its landrovers job RE: Dont buy from >>> - brough74 - 25-06-2012 07:41pm Not sure what to do now, might get the repairs done and try and sell it on but not for profit like some peeps RE: Dont buy from >>> - brough74 - 30-06-2012 03:57pm Decided to get everything fixed, lets see if they will do all my list lol RE: Dont buy from >>> - xxxx5 - 30-06-2012 04:10pm Give a list to the DP and be very specific. Tell him personally to deal with the issues. Hope it all goes well for you. Fingers crossed and good luck. RE: Dont buy from >>> - brough74 - 05-07-2012 08:18pm Right ive sent him the list, ive a meeting with the body shop manager on wednesday before the car goes to get fixed. I told them i want a better car than the freelander i got last time, and a full tank of petrol in it as its done 300 miles going to the garage and back out of a total of 900 miles so far. I hope then yours isn't an SD4/TD4/eD4............................... you will have bigger problems than just some scratches if they take you at your word............... RE: Dont buy from >>> - Westy - 06-07-2012 09:45am I have to say I had similar frustrations when my car was delivered, previous posts back in feb. With my clever other half we prepared a polite list of faults in writing to the dealer principal. He was very very good, called me immediately after he received the letter and asked me how I wanted to get the faults rectified. We agreed a plan, they collected my car dropped me off a loaner,(unfortunately was a brand new focus, but still a car to keep me going) Did all of the moans and delivered the car back two days later fully valeted. It has to be the DP though, as sales unfortunately with the demand they are seeing for evoque won't really take it seriously. To finish after a couple of weeks after the car was returned my good feeling came back and now after nearly 15000 miles I love it and nothing else has fallen off or brocken. Try and persevere as other manufacturers have similar issues too, it's the way the world is now unfortunately and I fall into the grump old man syndrome. We need some of the German 90, s build quality to come back, but I fear that has gone forever as shareholders these days have more say in the profits. Best of luck, be polite but firm, remember the dealers get bonuses for customer satisfaction results, remember jd power. RE: Dont buy from >>> - brough74 - 06-07-2012 08:34pm Well so far they have been slated in my satisfaction surveys. My car is petrol lol |
