I have to say the last thing I want is 20" wheels, or even worse 22". I want a car that offer a acceptable ride and 18-19" have higher and therefore softer sidewalls. If I wanted a sports car I would buy one.

That is my 2c worth.

Cheers

The cars with OEM 20" ride OK on them - my RRS rode beautifully on them as it was designed to wear them, FFRR is very good on them but same with 19's on the RRS the ride is even better. With the state of the roads in the UK though the more sidewall you have to absorb the potholes the better! Evoque has been engineered to have 20" wheels/tyres from the outset, it wouldn't surprise me if like Freelander2 it has class leading ride comfort even on monster wheels - LR use Jaguar to tune their suspension systems so even with conventional coils and dampers I think it's going to ride very nicely with their input

If they are 20inch as default I'm sure the ride will be smooth. Especially with all the hype of magna ride and all that. S

Surely the test using the 20 rims for a realistic comparision
