I had a folding hardtop on a VW Eos (MY200 and it was a special thing. Kids loved it and would show me their transformers toys. I think hard top convertibles present a styling challenge - I have an SL55 and it's sort of OK (IMHO) but the latest SL is (also IMHO) horrible. Besides, having a rag top is all part of the fun, that incessant drip onto your head from a misaligned window seal...
