In "S" mode you can pull off in second gear too Smile might just save a little bit of time on a gear change?!

I really enjoy using S. the car responds quickly in traffic and down shifts to brake with engine. I've been using S and have not noticed a big reduction in fuel mileage either. I suspect the lug before the car downshifts in D to pass or simply speed up is burning enough fuel to offset the S holding the gear longer. I also use the paddle to change to sixth if I'm driving in S instead of shifting into D.

I use D only in heavy traffic otherwise it is always in S as the lag can spoil the drive.
Dynamic setting and paddles for a more engaging drive though.
