RE: Stratstone Cupar - XFullFatTim - 18-02-2012 07:15pm Suggest that you try another service outlet Bob, not sure which would be closer Edinburgh or Stirling RE: Stratstone Cupar - tetstb - 18-02-2012 07:43pm I think it's come to that. Shame because Trevor is a diamond geezer, seems to be the service guys that don't give a toss. RE: Stratstone Cupar - vinny - 18-02-2012 10:29pm Sounds like your not using all 825 watts of that upgraded hifi bob if you are hearing a rattle! Id be scared to take it above half way in case I blew the doors off. I'm really gutted as the whole fiasco has put me off the car and I'm seriously thinking of ditching it. RE: Stratstone Cupar - J77 - 19-02-2012 11:23am Can't you speak to Trevor and see if he can put pressure on the service guys and get to the bottom of the faults. I have my salesmans mobile number and I contact him first if there is a problem. Although I haven't got any problems with the car, I am having problems with the service plan. Whoever made it up forgot to put TD4 on the system, so that's 5 weeks I have had the car and still paying for a freelander service plan, should be a straight swap. RE: Stratstone Cupar - tetstb - 19-02-2012 11:36am i think you're right, I've always found Trevor to be a diamond geezer, its the service guys that are the issue here. I think I'll go in and see him on Monday. If I can't get it sorted then I'll take it to Morrisons in Stirling, I'm a Stirling lad so I know them well. Fingers crossed. Is the service plan worth the money, I reckon 1 service a year aint going to be that bad. RE: Stratstone Cupar - J77 - 19-02-2012 02:38pm The main reason I have the plan is to avoid shelling out a large some at one time should it need tyres brake etc. I suppose if I stash the cash away that I spend on the plan I will earn interest on it. I would definitely have a chat with Trevor, as it's in his best interest to ensure you are happy. I've always dealt with Alistair who is super. Again hopefully you get it fixed soon. RE: Stratstone Cupar - vinny - 19-02-2012 04:39pm Hey bob if you are ditching it how about a wee deal with your shadow chromes against my sparkly 20's? Not going to bother with the service plan, come service time I will play stratstones off against morrisons and pentland using my superb negotiation skills and hard luck stories RE: Stratstone Cupar - XFullFatTim - 19-02-2012 06:28pm Budget on £400/£500 for an annual service, then if it is less you can put the money aside for the next year. I have had nothing but great service from Morrisons and even though I haven't purchased a car from them now for a few years I always take my cars back there for servicing. RE: Stratstone Cupar - tetstb - 19-02-2012 11:04pm Seems pricy for a service considering I've just paid £259 to have the wife's 3.0 diesel e-class have its first service. I think I'll find a goo independent rather than use main dealer anyway. |
