(apparentlly) ... any dates provided by the dealer are mere speculative and are about as useful for planning the finacials and disposal of any currently owned vehile near impossible. I sympathise with you greatly. Have you visited the dealer and challenged them? perhaps in a basil fawlty style? My current snotter is going the distance in early march, Will stick it on fleabay for £500. Hopefully by then there will be no more snow and the vx220 will see me through until my car arrives. Once the evoque arrives I am seriously sticking the vx220 up for sale and becoming a one car man again. Well mate, Im totally bummed out with them, when I orginaly enquired and paid deposit in JULY I was told a mid-feb/early-march delivery (and was confirmed again once production started and again in December), which would of been spot on as my current vehicle MOT/Insurance/Tax runs out end of March .... now that the RRE is yet again delayed ... I will have to shell out for MOT/Insurance & Tax, really p155e5 me off as I will have to go through the hassle of changeing insurance almost as soon as I get the new policy, loose the TAX disc & MOT costs and if Im lucky LR will through in a full tank of diesel ... I understand 100000% to be honest If i wasnt sure i wanted the evoque I would have cancelled long before now, If i changed dealers now i would go to the back of the queue. I dont think I have been contacted once by them with info without me asking questions first. When i am spending 30k and have been trying to wait patiently for about 8 months now there should be some proactivity in the supplying info, be it weekly, or fortnightly. It takes seconds and is good customer service. I have already decided that once the car is mine I will be taking it elsewhere for servicing and (hopefully not) warranty work. I will also not be buying any gep insurance, tyre insurance, accessories or anything else from them. RE: 26th March delivery date! - XFullFatTim - 14-02-2012 07:52pm WT, why do you have to loose the tax disc? No reason why you shouldn't remove it from the car and get the money back for your pocket and not the salesman's RE: 26th March delivery date! - WorldTraveler - 17-02-2012 07:34pm (14-02-2012 07:52pm)XFullFatTim Wrote: WT, why do you have to loose the tax disc? RE: 26th March delivery date! - The Valeter - 18-02-2012 11:46am My delivery date to me is also confirmed as the 26th March with build of 9th. I symathise a lot with Ed209 & WT = Very Poor Service. So does that mean Ed209 & WT are two the longest serving members who still have not had final confirmation of build? I have every sympathy! I have every sympathy! I did have a build of March 9th. Not sure if that has changed but the delivery to dealers went back a fortnight. I was so angry when it went back i forgot to ask what the new build date was. Have you called LR Customer Relations too? If not I definately would & be blunt & direct & it may well work to your advantage!! Have spoke to nick@lr on the phone, she was very pleasant and said if my car comes after the 26th March they might look at what they can do for me in terms of good will gestures. Will this help me get my car sooner? who knows? Rather than the goodwill i would have rather just have had my car on its original estimated delivery date of 23rd Jan. I am trying just to put it out of my mind at the min because stressing about it just cheeses me off. |
