i agree it's not right and good the second dealer is sorting it out for you. I don't think rust would be a concern because the body shell is zinc coated and of course painted and any water will drain away just as water on the windscreen will. That said, it's still not right and needs to be fixed.

Their service department is dead, no wonder from the sounds of it, you know where you'll be taking it for it's first service now!
Hope it's sorted soon.

Some dealers just dont get it. Your lucky cause the next closest dealer to me is 140mil away.

Although it's alittle bit more of a drive (40 min), this dealer was recommended by my buddy who has his RRS SC service there. The clips should arrive within a few days. Cool

Thanks for posting this Lionhead....keep the reports coming, very helpful.

I am slowly building a list in my mind of things to check over on my car on delivery day.

I would be pissed off if my brand new car had a fault like that.

(Aussie pissed off=angry.....not pissed=drunk! Laughing )

Good news!

Update: So after the first dealer wouldn't fix the A Pillar and LR USA sided with that dealer...I brought the car to the 2nd dealer in which they said that's not normal and fixed it. So I called LR USA to report back to the rep that the 2nd dealer advised it was loose and fixed the A Pillar, she became super nice again and apologized.

To my suprise in the mail today, I received a $500 gift certificate redeemable for LR part or service performed at a LR authorized retailer do to the "difficulties you have encountered". Good job LR USA for stepping up to the plate. Cool

Now thats what I call customer service which is world renown in the USA but dont think it would be the same here in the UK, just a letter is the norm !!!!LaughingLaughingLaughing
