All conquest sales Audi, VW and possibly Porsche – poor old VAG....... RE: Deposit IN - XFullFatTim - 06-04-2011 10:50pm I got an RRS on launch day - waiting lists were 9 months long by then and extended out to nearly a year at one stage! So take good care of your Evoque if delivery times start to stretch out because if it gets so badly damaged that it should be written off you may find they repair it instead to save money. Tim, it is fair to say that dealers have a period of time before they have to pay for stock vehicles, however it is usually with daily interest. Dealers are debited for the vehicle when it is registered, therefore you will find that most cars are registered on the day of delivery or the day before to assist cash-flow at peak times. The most difficult periods are Feb and Aug where we are holding significant amounts of stock which has not yet been paid for, whilst the customer waits for the new registration month. We were sat on 6x our usual stock level on 28th Feb this year. James RE: Deposit IN - XFullFatTim - 07-04-2011 10:03am Thanks for the details James - knowing how many cars you guys shift down there that was a lot of stock to have to look after/ insure and find storage for.
