I do like the chunkyness of the Style 4, in real the Style 5 is very nice though, (they could have been cleaner in the pics to)

Pretty conclusive test now, probably no surprise but Pirelli Scorpion Verde are quieter than Continental Cross Contact!
I noticed an increase immediately when I put the Continentals on, I've noticed the decrease immediately in taking them back off. There's what I can only describe as a slight booming over bumps that just isn't there with the Pirelli's. Both sets were Brand new.
In fact even rolling them along the patio slabs off the car seemed to show the noise.
Put it this way I know which tyres I'll be replacing them with when they are worn out. But note it's not like it's so bad I need to replace them before they are worn out, just a slight noticeable difference.

I could do a cross plot of the standard deviation of the suspension displacement against the median decibel level in the cabin for each type of tyre if you'd like cjfp...

I appreciate it isn't an option for a lot of people but I have two sets of wheels and tyres, summer 20's and winter 19's
I don't notice any ride difference between them (my car has AD) but there is a lot of road noise difference - the 19's are Pirelli Ice and Snow pattern and run quieter than the 20" craptinentals, despite having a lot more sips in the tread.

Hi Tim, So is that Pirelli Ice and Snow (Proper Winter Tyres) against the Cross Contact Crapinentals? So Even the Pirelli Winters are quieter than the Crapinental M+S? That's very good to know as Will be putting Winters on Style 4 when they are worn out, so Sounds like Pirelli are the right option for Winters too!

The Style 4's are a great option for Winters, easy to clean, and chunky Styling, I blow hot and cold on the Style 6, could have had these as Summer Wheels since the Dynamic came with them as standard, but didn;t like the design in the pictures when oredering the car, and Pictures is all there was when I ordered the car!
If you're changing them yourself then the next month is the time to do it, unless you like being out in the cold, and snow in November is always possible.

My Craptinentals are 100% road biased, summer tyres as supplied as original fit at the factory. I took Pirellis as I prefer them and they were approx £60 a tyre cheaper than the Conti Winter tyres I was offered. I believe from RRSport owners that Vredestien (spelling??) winter tyres are superb and even less expensive but I don't know if they are availabe in RRE sizes

I was the same and liked the look of the style 5's more, but I must confess the 6's look much much better when on the car, so glad we found a good set with no miles on them for reasonable money
I am going to keep the 5's with the Continental M+S tyres as our winter set as those Michelins on the Style 6 look neither use nor ornament for winter!
I must say I was looking at the cost of replacement 20" tyres and found a few places doing Pirelli P Zeros for around £170 fitted, thought that was very cheap! As ours are new and will be on for around 7 months of the year shouldn't need any anytime soon!
