The dealer has come back and said that they did a general audio update as the software in the car was out of date. They have said that there is currently NO update fix for the Range Rover only the Evoque and Sport as they have a different system. Does anyone know if this is correct and if not do you know the software update number or the Land-Rover bulletin number. Many thanks RE: Radio cutting out - XFullFatTim - 30-10-2013 08:50pm Roadrunner have you tried asking over on our sister forum http://www.FullFatRR.com ? Hi, I've had a look around FFRR but can't seem to find anything relating to this issue, which is why I ended up on here. I will have another look. thanks RE: Radio cutting out - Tio - 03-11-2013 07:12pm I booked in mine for the 12th of November. The update is available now. Apparently on the 28th of August when the 4G was upgraded, has created all this problems. They simply have to allow some different frequency settings. It has been happening to many different makes of cars. RE: Radio cutting out - Shenley - 11-11-2013 01:22pm Had this update done on 25/10/13 at Chipperfield LR, download took nearly 30mins or so. Car was set to USA when it went in and set back to UK after the download. They had switched the auto wipers, auto lights to off, and disconnected the phone cables, and my wife's IPod in the center cubby hole. No problems since she says. However when I borrowed her car to do the bulky shop at our local cash and carry (I drive a Nissan 350z, which takes two shopping bags....) I noticed a couple of things I had not noticed before. 1) When you ask for the satnav you get the 'warning screen' and have to press agree, well after 3 seconds it now just goes straight to the satnav screen without pressing anything. 2) When you adjust the volume you get a volume control on the screen in the form of a circle with a number in it. Now I know I have never seen this before. In this car or the previous one. (First one rejected) ![]() This appears when you adjust the volume on the knob or the steering wheel. Is this new? Or is it something you can ask for in the menu? Strange I/we have never seen it before. Been driving the Evoque(s) for a year now....... Or have I not been driving it enough to notice these things. Mine has always displayed the volume setting and the sat nav displays as you say after a few seconds but IIRC you cannot programme the sat nav without clicking 'Agree' Tony RE: Radio cutting out - cutter7 - 11-11-2013 01:31pm (11-11-2013 01:22pm)Shenley Wrote: Had this update done on 25/10/13 at Chipperfield LR, download took nearly 30mins or so. You can disable this option in your settings.. use the cursor dial on the right hand side of your steering wheel. RE: Radio cutting out - Shenley - 11-11-2013 02:27pm I knew it wouldn't be new, must have defaulted during the update. Anyway I quite like the heads up on how loud its going to be when I get in, as the wife's taste in music is..... err not mine........ and loud, did I say loud again? Strange about the satnav though................ Is this de rigueur? I'm sure as its not my daily drive, there's things I don't know. ![]() .......... my car has electric windows, and power steering! ![]() RE: Radio cutting out - jitenc - 11-11-2013 04:14pm (30-10-2013 07:50pm)RoadrunnerRR Wrote: The dealer has come back and said that they did a general audio update as the software in the car was out of date. Apparently from the dealers, the update seems to be only for the new Evoque, ...early generation evoques seem to miss out.... am i right? RE: Radio cutting out - XFullFatTim - 11-11-2013 04:28pm Jitenc - the update is only for cars with the TV module as it was the re-allocation of digital frequencies that was causing a problem. I believe from neighbours that their new Hyundai Santa Fee (only weeks old) has to go back to have it's TV/DAB reflashed with an update too as from day one after delivery they had the cutting out of DAB problem and the Hyundai dealer had no idea how to fix it - it was only when he asked me if I had had any problems that he found out what the issue is - even Hyundai weren't aware and were going to replace the head unit in his car! |
