Auto-Express outs the new small Cayenne - XFullFatTim - 29-05-2013 06:32pm Yes we know it as the Macan but all their photos show a scaled down Cayenne. Land Rover will have to watch out though, not only is it a rebadged / rebodied SQ5 even in 4 cylinder engined models will significantly undercut Evoque with prices from about £36000. There will be 4cylinder petrol and diesels as well as the SQ5 Tdi - TBH it looks like an Audi parts bin special............ With an extremely desirable badge. RE: Auto-Express outs the new small Cayenne - xxxx5 - 29-05-2013 09:32pm Well my order is in and deposit taken. I don't intend to keep the car, as I intend to sell it and making a small profit whilst there is waiting list. RE: Auto-Express outs the new small Cayenne - Straydox - 30-05-2013 12:35am It'll be a peach if they use the SQ5 as basis. I've just gone past the first 1000 miles in the SQ - mental performance with a sound track to match. Fuel consumption is a pleasant surprise, first tank was 36.6 mpg and the 2nd (mostly M40/M25/M1 at 50-60mph) was 41.7 mpg which is remarkable for a 308bhp/650Nm 3 Litre auto and close to the Mfrs claimed numbers. No real comparison between my previous SD4 2.2D Prestige and the SQ (different target market so not fair to try) - however I do think the sound quality of the 825W Meridian in the Evqoque is better than the B&O of the Audi - though the rest of the in car systems are way ahead. RE: Auto-Express outs the new small Cayenne - J77 - 30-05-2013 09:49am Sounds good, but I don't think I could be tempted to leave LR. With the problems I had I wouldn't go back to LR RE: Auto-Express outs the new small Cayenne - XFullFatTim - 30-05-2013 07:55pm Well after yesterday's fiascos at the local Audi dealership I wouldn't be crossing an Audi dealers threshold for a while - I had a test drive of an SQ5 booked, unfortunately the car was broken when I pitched up, it refused point blank to start! Also had problems with its EPB, luckily my dealer was excellent kept me updated every few days and restored my faith in the brand. So far all my other LRs have been spot on. RE: Auto-Express outs the new small Cayenne - XFullFatTim - 31-05-2013 03:24pm Just commented to a neighbour that he has a nice new Jag XF.............. "oh no I haven't its a loaner. Mine was in for annual service and after the test drive the engine wouldn't stop, it kept on building up revs and the dealer couldn't stop it before it exploded! " car is 13 days from expiry of warranty and only has 21000 miles on the odo. Dealer is fitting a new 2.7TDv6 under warranty, no questions asked and he has a 2.2 as a loaner until his car is repaired. RE: Auto-Express outs the new small Cayenne - J77 - 01-06-2013 11:15pm I had a top spec D3 from enterprise through LR assist while mines was in. RE: Auto-Express outs the new small Cayenne - IKM - 02-06-2013 12:19am Can't fault LR assist .... It's probably LR dealer that will cause me to change. Spent today looking at alternatives and may end up with Audi for Q5 Sline plus. Shame on you LR after nearly 15years + as a customer! |
