1st RHD SQ5 review - Whatcar - Straydox - 19-04-2013 01:56pm April 2013 What Car SQ5 Review Suspect off-road capability will be limited to Tesco's car park though? I bet the Porsche Macan will wipe the floor with it too RE: 1st RHD SQ5 review - Whatcar - Straydox - 19-04-2013 03:00pm (19-04-2013 02:04pm)ChuckieB Wrote: Are you are on the right forum or would you rather be with old friends Amongst old friends for sure - the Q5 forum has lots of friendly people but they don't have much to grumble about so I guess that's boring for all the right reasons? Tim - it would seem that there is disparity between the north and the south and dealers in Scotland, especially Aberdeen putting customer SQ5s on the road now for collection next week. Here in the south it looks like May 10th... 300+ bhp, yes that is true - I've always loved mental acceleration though so the top speed bit really doesn't matter. One owner in Germany is reporting the eqivalent of 31mpg driving in Dynamic mode and just over 40 in economy mode - will be interesting to see if that's doable in the real world. RE: 1st RHD SQ5 review - Whatcar - doug - 20-04-2013 09:53am My wish list. Evoque with the SQ5 engine (Audi's looks do nothing for me these days, apart from the R8 & TT) RE: 1st RHD SQ5 review - Whatcar - PhilSkill - 20-04-2013 10:58pm You cant miss its an Audi RE: 1st RHD SQ5 review - Whatcar - Amadeus - 20-04-2013 11:45pm What colour are you getting ? RE: 1st RHD SQ5 review - Whatcar - Straydox - 21-04-2013 12:10am Estoril Blue - crystal RE: 1st RHD SQ5 review - Whatcar - Straydox - 16-05-2013 11:12pm There is a certain irony in this post in that a year to the day after the arrival of ill fated Evoque its replacement in the form of an SQ5 TDI arrived - 15th May 2013. Not surprisingly with 308bhp/650Nm on tap it's very, very quick just using it's economy mode - did 250 miles today brimmed the tank before and after and squeezed 31 litres in - so that 36.65 to the gallon - about the same as the Evoque 190bhp manual. Still looks like a Q5 (not as ugly as the Macan though) - albeit on 20" wheels and lowered suspension (ride quality is impressive - especially as most lowered Audis are brutally hard) and just like an Evoque it has Dumbo's ears for door mirrors that get in the way - seems familiar! In car tech is where RR should be (I hope they read this) with my phone (or a sim card slot in the dash) providing Google Map overlays for the satnav and internet sourced real-time traffic data integrated to the maps. The system also becomes WLAN and a Wifi hotspot for other occupants of the car and a bunch of other things which you can PM me for.... SQ5 TDI Estoril Blue Satnav with Google maps RE: 1st RHD SQ5 review - Whatcar - XFullFatTim - 16-05-2013 11:28pm Very nice, I have at long last been able to persuade the local Audi dealer to let me have a test drive in one. I don't hold out much hope as the last time I went to them for a test drive of their A6Allroad it had turned into an A6 Saloon with a 2.0ltr engine............because despite having an appointment made a week earlier to drive their AllRoad they had given the salesman who was looking after it the day off the day I was to drive it. |
