Shut the Door! - PhilSkill - 15-04-2012 09:00pm

A silly one, How have people been shutting their doors on their Evoque? I have found myself being a bit awkward and taking care and using the outside handle because of not wanting to mark the gloss black pillars or get finger marks on it... seems mad?

It's called 'new car syndrome'. Perfectly normal. Give it 6 months and you will be cured once the symptoms of people approaching you and making conversation about the car ends and there is a week long tanker drivers' strike and....... Gosh... I am suffering from verbal diarrhoea now..Very HappyVery HappyVery Happy

That must be awkward when you've just got into the car. I find the inside door handle better in those circumstances!Wink

This is disgraceful...nobody owning a Range Rover should be having to close their own door...as for the technique used to close my doors, I shall have to consult my man servant!

Yeah gets really painful unless you open the window and reach out to the exterior handle! Very Happy

You could try the "No Hands" method.
Just pull away real quick and you have auto locking. No need to touch the car at all. Cool

Tried the bum method yet? Just make sure there are no metal back pocket buttons on your pants when doing it.

I have had mine since December and use the edge of my hand. This method eliminates most of the smears that you would otherwise have to look at when approaching the car.
