Land Rover makes loads of petrol variants of it's cars - there are V6 petrol engines in some markets, unfortunately they don't make them available in the UK market because the market favours lots of low down torque diesels for SUV's. I have no issues over performance with my 2014 SD4, it is is a totally different performer to my last one with much swifter pull away and on occassions even wheelspin if I don't give the stop/start a chance to catch up before I start pressing the gas pedal, it tricks it into pulling away in first instead of 3rd!
