A couple of weeks ago a golf ball landed on my bonnet leaving a big dent. The golf club told me to get two quotes so I did.The first quote was £650 (repair dent, paint bonnet and replace Range Rover badge). The second quote was £100(paintless dent removel). As you can imaging the insurance company chose the latter.
The guy came to my house this morning, attatched a mirror with lines on it.He then glued something to the middle of the dent and pulled it out with a slde hammer. He then hammered around the dent until the lines were straight. I was amazed,I looked in all directions and the finish was perfect.
If anyone has any dings from shopping trolleys etc,I would highly recommend getting them fixed by this method.
What is the name of company did the repair?

Specialistdents, it's not a big company, just a local guy from Pickering, I am sure lots of people around the country will do the same method.
There is also a nationwide franchise/ man in a van company that do similar repairs, cannot remember if it is Dentmaster or Chipsaway and the franchisee's vary in ability but I've had great service from our local Chipsaway man.

Did he have to repair the paint, or wasn't that damaged? Did he have to polish off a 'glue' mark after pulling out the dent?

The paint wasn't damaged, the glue pops off when he pulled it and he just polished it.

I tell you this is the business to be in. We had two massive hail storms this summer where I live in Germany (stones the size of golf balls). The first was in June and the second was the middle of Aug. Our town had be invaded by Dutch, Spanish and Slovenian dent repairers who are still working on cars now! Our Merc had 200 dents removed (fortunately the RRE was under the carport), cost €4000 to repair; fortunatley we only had to pay a €150 excess and due to the way German insurance works our NCB is not affected.

Don't think any RRE pano roofs were broken, but a work colleague of mine had both his sunroofs broken on his Disco 4 SadSad
Last year I saw a brand new Ford Kuga for sale on the Copart website for £13,000 pounds .And all that was wrong was hail damage.
I had the same done to mine on the rear wing area. Someone door dented it in a car park!! Same technique used to pull it out and I can't see where it was at all now! No marks on the paint either! Very impressive. This was the company I used. They came to my works and did it in the car park!

Ive got a small dent but the dent repairer said it couldn't be fixed due to the side impact bar in the door and wouldn't be able to get access to it. LR have quoted £600 to repair. Perhaps this could be a solution.

Anyone know if their is a repairer in north west / north wales area.

thanks
