Went to the dealers today to sort out the fix that prevents my car setting on fire.Whilst there I was looking around at all the shiney new cars and was seduced by them. Dynamic was the one for me,so a visit to the salesman to find out how much it would cost to part ex my car for a new one! I was all excited thinking of waiting once again for a shiney new car.It was all suddenly brought to a halt.He offered me £25,000 for my car when I was expecting a lot more.In Autotrader my car is worth about £30,000. Off I go to Audi to purchase the A3 Etron.
most dealers want to make between £3-4k on px, so not too surprised. Try other dealers they may want your car and your business more. Strange choice if you went for the A3 Etron from a RRE, if you don't mind me asking.
Sounds like you only considered changing when you saw the dynamic so how come you had already decided to buy the Audi A3

7th RRS................... they've only been in production for 8 years! You must really like them. It's been a toss up between my 2007MY TDv8 RRS HSE and my Dynamic Evoque as to which has been the best Range Rover I've owned. The TDv8 was wonderful with it's growly rumble and tidal wave of torque and not bad handling for a big SUV but the Evoque's handling was a couple notches beyond the DR equipped TDv8 but Evoque's suspension while nice isn't as good as the air-suspended RRS's for a cushy ride when you only want to waft along. Evoque's quality of fittings is nice but not as nice as a post 2010MY RRS or RRS2's
I thought the A3Etron becomes available next September?
we got quoted £12k to change to similar spec brand new 9 speed auto, that either means No discount on new one and £29k part ex, or some discount and a crap Part Ex! either way its a no!

Anyway just had a quote for repairs after Mrs Mac had an accident on WednesdaySad Needs both doors replacing on passenger side best part of £4kSad
Ouch, I know from experience that the composite tailgate costs £1600 all included (labour and VAT) to replace, which means recycled washing up liquid and soft drinks bottles are darned expensive things to buy!
