Just went onto a couple of Landrover wesites overseas, Germany and then Australia and several features we have as standard are optional on their's at silly money and then stamp duty - what's that all about? Bad enough that we pay stamp duty on a house but on a car?Shocked
Though I did notice that Ebony headlining is 200 euros in Germany - £250 here?

Not only do we Aussie's get slugged with stamp duty, after we were silly enough to vote in a Labor government they now also slug us with what they call a luxury car tax as well. That kicks in at round $57,000 - I'm yet to see an actual luxury car at that price. Oh, other than our horrible Australian built Holden and Fords that the tax seems to be trying to protect. Add that to the horrendously high import duty that cars are also slugged with and being an Aussie buying an imported Euro is a painfully expensive experience. Thank Christ my work buys my cars!
That really sucks...................I thaught this Country was crap but maybe it's not so bad lol.

One thing I have noticed on the foreign Pure models is the Leather/Suede option....I want that but can't get it on UK Evoques (yet!!)
You should see the price of an Evoque in Singpore! You even have to have a certificate of entitlement before you can buy it and then you can have a petrol engine only! In India where I am at the moment an Evoque costs almost the equivalent of a supercar in the UK after taxes! Of course the Americans are lucky, us Brits subsidise their prices in the name of LR remaining competitive, so for LR NA the exchange rate is £1 = $1........
yeah....mine is US$130,000++ fully loaded Dynamic Si4, only lacking RES & Adaptive Dynamics Sad
Yea we lucky..lol!

Adaptive dynamics = Standard on UK Dynamic, not sure what RES is though.
Yeah they are cheap in Usa.. A lot of options also default. Headliner still 165quid though. They are so few apart here. Seen 3 in as many months. I flew home last weekend and spotted 2 in manchester ap car park.. And 3 more driving up to preston area.
The only reason they're cheaper in the US is that its a much more competitive market unlike the UK where we're all far too happy to pay over the odds for most things!
