Hi,
I was configuring a Dynamic SD4 auto on line today and it is not possible to have both style 7 wheels and TPMS.
There are used vehicles for sale with both of these options listed.
I cannot find a reason why this change has been made.
Would any member with both options please cofirm they were available together.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this please?
I have style 3 wheels for my winter tyres and according to LR you cannot have TPMS with them. I purchased a set of accessory/ spare senders for them and they work no problem. I am running a set of Style 6 as my summer tyres so the answer might be to buy the car with style 6 and then buy a set of Style 7 and get the dealer to take the senders off the style 6's and put them on the style 7's then sell the style 6's on here or eBay
Enigma, I have style 7's with TPMS straight from the factory, so it definitely was available together. Can't say why no longer the case.
I picked up a set of used Style 7's with tires from the UK and had them shipped (TPMS is not mandatory in the UK from what I understand). After they got here, I purchased a set of sensors from a local guy (OEM sensors), and had the local tire shop installed the sensors in less than 30 mins. No problems with getting them to fit.
That is a good way of doing it, I brought the sensors for my 19" wheels as parts and the price certainly makes you want to sit down and take a sharp intake of breath! IIRC I paid £125 for 4 sensors and that was after the discount I get from the dealership.
I have the style 7's and TPMS. Also, because i don't much like the skinny space saving tyre,i ordered another style 7 and sensor to store as a spare.

I didn't think there was enough space for a std wheel to fit in place of the spare (mine is in transit, so I can't speak from experience). Was there anything that you needed to do to make it fit?
No sorry, when i meant spare, it sits in the garage,as it does'nt fit in the car spare tyre space. The idea is that if i get a puncture out there, i would still have to use the space saver, but as soon as i get home i put the spare on.
This way,my gorgeous Evoque does'nt look silly for too long with the skinny tyre,if it so happens that i need to buy another replacement tyre, and sometimes with these specialist Conti's, they run out of stock and can take up to 8 weeks for more to arrive from overseas. They keep this size in low volumns cause of low demand, and even when they do have stock, they have to come from the other side of the country, which takes about 8 days.
I've got two spare new TPMS sensors for sale if anyone is interested drop me a PM.
Thank you all for your kind advice.
I checked this with the dealer and was advised it is probable that there may be a fault with the configurator as TPMS and style 7 wheels are available to order together.
