Been for a tour of the factory today, well worth it. Had an hour driving on their off road track as well, better in their car than mine Very Happy

The factory tour took about 2 hours and involves almost every process from the press shop through to finally rolling off the end of the line. The only thing you dont get to see is the paint shop, as the environment needs to be so clean. It is really interesting seeing how things are done, both manual and robot lines, and how the cars are not in any particular order going down the line.
We then went for a drive in their offroad track. You get to drive through water, up and down some really steep hills, and around an island that tips the car so far onto its side my wife was screaming. There are several other obstacles, but you will find details on their website.

Highly recoment it.
The Solihull factory LRE is superb, tipping bridge, log road, drive down stairs, the elephants foot prints, 45 degree cross slop (which for HSE reasons is only 38 degrees but all Land Rovers can handle 45 degrees) and the fantastic Jungle run which a I did in a G4 V6 Freelander with water almost up to the window line!
