I know Tim has posted a few things about the Evoque that he has discovered during his ownership, so I thought I'd do the same as I find out new things.
1. The rear wiper on most cars will do a sweep from one side to the other and back again. The Evoque, when on internittent, does a sweep from one side to the other and then stops. On the next cycle it goes back across to where it started. When it's switched off, it goes to the park side and "hides" under the spoiler.
2. The sat nav screen partially replicates on the information screen in front of the driver, which I find handy.
3. Doing the voice mail training is worth it as it improves the response from the system to your way of speaking.
4. The auto lights are very sensitive and turn headlights on in quite high light conditions. Not a bad thing.
5. I'm finding it difficult to turn the TV off once dual screen is selected. Even after radio or CD is selected the TV picture is still playing for the passenger. I can't seem to find an easy way of turning the picture off.
6. Keyless entry is fantastic. Just walking up to the car and opening any door and just touching the handle to lock it is superb. Powered tailgate is priceless. Why aren't all cars like this?
Going to try playing a DVD today. TV on the move is ok, but you do lose the signal occasionally as you move through areas of low signal strength.
Car is still pleasurable to own and drive.
