new member, new order

Hello all,

Am a long time member of Disco3 with my wife having had a D3 and now a D4.

After attending the excellent Lookers London launch event yesterday (thanks again Jeremy and James) for the RR I was so impressed I have today put down my deposit on an Evoque to sit on the drive alongside the Disco.

Si4 Dynamic Coupe in white with lux pack, shadow chrome 20s and black roof.

Very excited and looking forward to a March/April delivery.

Welcome aboard RSK, you will love the car when it finally arrives

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

Good to see someone else buying the Si4 - we're a select bunch...

Just a thought about the shadow wheels. I wonder whether they look perpetually dirty, used as I am to clean alloys?

Evoque was great, now in an RRS SVR

I like to think so too Wink

I only did 4k miles a year last year and recent drives have been an Mx5 (current), Alfa Brera V6, S2000, R32, Saab Turbo conv. so I'm keen to stay with petrol and have a little bit of poke/sporting drive. Beauty of the Evoque certianly compared to the Mazda (which despite the image some have of it is a brilliant car) is that we'll be able to go away for decent periods of time as a couple with all the gear that entails and I'll be able to take the two kids out and about when Mrs RSK is off and away in her D4.

As for the wheels, yes I know what you mean certainly in some lights they might be confused for the "brake dust chrome" option. I will no doubt have several change sof heart before I have to go nap on the order box at build slot time. Today I'll admit to wavering over the contrast roof given that the cars in the ads all have a white roof with the black pano glass and look great to me.

Thanks for the order RSK and good seeing you all on Sunday. Shadow Chrome wheels are a must! Wink

You have plenty of time to fine tune the spec for when you need/want it, therefore I guess you'll be playing 'spot the Evoque' for the rest of the year!

Delivery times have certainly gone out since I ordered in July - what for me is a 4 month wait (more than half way through now) is turning into a 6 - 7 month wait for people ordering now. Yikes!

RRS went out to 11 months at one stage!
Now look at the number for sale - 700 alone on Pistonheads classifieds!!
