got the call yesterday!

hey guys,

my dealer gave me a call yesterday and said my car has been built and is waiting to be shipped, he has told me to expect the start of august for delivery - 8 weeks.

is this a fair estimate? or should i allow extra time?

I think time frame seems realistic... I have a build date of 15th May and ETA at dealers is mid-July...

Are there any other Novocastrians driving Evokes...?

im starting to see a few more driving around. everyone of them i see makes me wish mine would hurry up!
our dealer said they have sold quite a few.

Bob, when was your built date? It should take roughly 9 days to build and to the docks, depending which ship it goes on , there is a schedule of the shipping time in this forum somewhere. After it arrives at the docks, prob allow for 3 weeks for unloading and compliance checking then to the dealer.

shouldn't take more than 6-8 weeks. fingers crossed you should have it by the august delivery date!!!

Hi Bob,

My build date was 21 March and delivery 24 May. There was a slight holdup on the docks here due to a long weekend. 8 weeks? About right.

I see you ordered yr car in May and the car has been built so you must had a may build slot? Im so envious as i wish i had the same build slot too!

im not sure of the exact build date, but they did tell me they were able to "spec change" a car for the next build, when i ordered it.
hopefully there a no hold ups on the delivery, very keen for it to arrive!

Ah yes,the spec change is the best way to do it, congrats!
