RE: Ivory Headlining-Have I made a mistake?

Last year I went to the launch event for the 4.4TDv8FFRR and drove back to back cars with the Parchment fabric roof liner and the black leather roof liner. Both cars had privacy and both had a sunroof. The test of the upholstery was also black. There was a huge difference in the ambience inside the cabin - the car with the light roof felt a lot bigger whereas the all black car felt more compact almost intimate, but not claustrophic (FFRR has enough "greenhouse" that that doesn't happen) but it also felt depressing.

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

Leasing company are giving me a hard time if I want to amend.

Found a pic of that combo - hardly noticed the headlining not Ebony…. i.e. don't think it'll make a massive difference either way.

Think you'll be fine

RE: Ivory Headlining-Have I made a mistake?

I've previously had a golf GTI with a black head lining and quite liked it (to be fair the checked seats added some colour) - but sat in the back of a dynamic with an all black interior, tints and ebiny roof and i thought I'd taken up caving as a new sunday afternoon hobby. I test drove a q5 in the spring with an ebony roof and felt the same

Think it would be fine with the panaramic roof but the lighter headlining will be better with the cars without.

so i wouldn't worry about your lighter head lining.

RE: Ivory Headlining-Have I made a mistake?

My car was a factory chosen one. I just took what they had, which was exactly what i would've ordered...

EXEPT the ebony headliner.... unfortunately it came with IVORY, which i think will be annoying in my all black interior.

My first modification will be to have my roof lining re-upholstered.
