disable the alarm

Hi
When I leave my car without Origin Lock the doors , a few minutes after the alarm is activated .
I often forget and as soon as I get in the car , the alarm starts.
Can we turn off the alarm permanently?

RE: disable the alarm

What keeps you from closing the car when you leave and open iy when you want to enter it again?
If you really want to disable it, take out the appropiate fuze.

RE: disable the alarm

That makes sense, but I learned already with my previous car to lock and unlock the car when fueling up.
I don't think there is an option to temporarily switch off the alarm.
Maybe, when you switch on the ignition (pushing start without starting) the alarm is not armed.

RE: disable the alarm

Has anybody ever found a solution for this problem, or the reason why it is happening?
It is definitely not acceptable to always lock and unlock the car again or leave the key inside each time I go somewhere for a few seconds. Also after posting about this problem in an Evoque group on Facebook it definitely seems to be something that is not standard as nobody there ever heard about that problem. For my Evoque it takes approx. 60sec for the car to re-arm the alarm when I leave it with the key - the doors however remain unlocked. It only re-arms and re-locks if you don't enter the car with key - once the key was inside it only arms the alarm. I have been at a LandRover shop - of course they have never seen something like that and wanted to keep the car for "a few hours" to investigate - having them investigate for a few hours will likely just turn out in a huge bill with no results at the end...
