RE: courtesy cars

Mine is in to find a fault with RSE remote, the dealer did loan me a 13 plate freelander, but as it is now in for a bit longer ( unable to trace fault ) they needed their courtesy car back, so they arranged thru land rover a car from enterprise. I'm now in a 62 plate rr sport autobiography, very nice piece of kit...

evoque now gone, but not forgotten, on to bigger and better things

RE: courtesy cars

Also depends whether it is the dealer giving you the car or LR Assist.

Dealer might well try to go as cheap as possible, but LRA should always arrange an LR product for you.

As mentioned elsewhere, when our FL2 went in for a warranty issue we had a £76k FFRR Westminster for two weeks courtesy of LRA !

Pure 3dr SD4 Tech Man ; Firenze Red ; 19" Style 3 ; Pano ; Ebony / Ivory Int ; Auto dim rear view ; 2 seats ; Park Aid - Rear cam ; Ext. folding mirrors ; Adap Xenon ; Fogs ; Mud Flaps ; Side Steps - Rec'd 28/12/11 - Sadly going 6/6/14 - Gone, now running BMW X6

RE: courtesy cars

It amazes me that people complain about servicing costs then want a 60k courtesy car. You pay for it in someway at some point!

td4 Pure manual in orkney grey, auto wipers/lights, front fogs, spare wheel. carmats4u mats, travall dog guard. Collected 30/03/12.

Well I got a basic Ford Fester which I had to pay £12.50 for the insurance for 5 hours and the dealer still charged me £328 for the 1st year service.

And if that courtesy car was a full fat brand new RR how much more do you think the service would be??

I was not expecting a FFRR unless they were looking to tempt me to upgrade come change time. An FL2 would have been acceptable.

A friend got his Santa Fe serviced at year 1 for £120 including a courtesy car at no extra cost. I doubt that the 1st year service i.e. an oil/filter change on the Evoque and Santa Fe are really that much different. It is also worth noting that the two dealers are part of the same group.

Its about the customer feeling valued and not ripped off, its about retaining customers and tempting them into a more expensive product come change time. As things stand this is my fourth and last LR product.
