RE: Wrapping Decision for my Evoque!

I would wrap my Evoque for a few reasons:

- Protect paintwork
- Matte colour
- Remove it in a couple of years and it'd be like having a new car all over again.

...if it wasn't for my concern that it could damamge the paintwork and, in my experience, wrapped cars very quickly look tired and scratch easily.

The color is specially produced for orders and right now waiting time for production is about 5 month. I ordered it one year ago for my other car but i waited for the new one.

I will Upload Pictures right after it got wrapped.

Attached you See the exact color that is ordered

A couple of questions...

Can you put a matt wrapped car through a car wash? Doesn't it polish it?
If you buy a White RRE and then change it to grey do you have to advise DVLA?

I don't know about the car wash as I never use them but my understanding is that you don't need to notify the DVLA as it is considered a "temporary" colour change.

RE: Wrapping Decision for my Evoque!

Carwash - I wouldn't want to risk putting it through.

DVLA - no requirement to notify, but do expect to have increased pulling power (and I mean being pulled over by the police as opposed to an increase in sexual prowess) as the colour the police will be seeing wont, obviously, match what the computer is saying it should be. As wrapping popularity increases, I can see a law change coming at some point.

RE: Wrapping Decision for my Evoque!

Loved the Matt black!.
Its a cheaper way to have contrast roof , either in black , silver or white , in fact any colour as you wish.
I think is a DIY job ( just the contrast roof rims surround the fixed pano glass )
When you get sick of it, remove and ........more decisions.
I didn't order the contrast roof for the pano glass, certainly would try wrapping it with the vinyl white.
