Won't engage D
Twice now I've put in in D and it refused to engage. The led just flashes at D and there is no movement. I've had to put it back in P then try again.
Cheers

RE: Won't engage D
I've seen similar to this on two range rover sports and an evoque, but in those cases when P was engaged the light would just flash or not illuminate at all and when the engine is turned off the rotary selector would stay raised and not sink back into the console. In all cases the vehicles required new rotary gear shift modules. Not saying that your fault is definitely connected to mine however it doesn't seem it's an isolated incident.

IIRC there have also been a few reports of this happening to Jaguars, which figures as it's the same system. I haven't looked on any XJ or XF owners forums but it was mentioned here some time ago
A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.
